This course will introduce you to the rules of composition in photography.

A good knowledge of the rules of composition will provide you with the basis for balanced, harmonious images. Once you've mastered these rules, you'll be able to adapt your composition to suit the message you wish to convey. An image with the same subject can be read differently, depending on how it has been composed. The rules of composition help to guide the viewer through the image and hold his or her attention.

In the second part of this course, you'll discover how to break free from the rules of composition, or more precisely, how to get around some of them. Sometimes, simply moving an element in a composition is enough to create an interesting image.

Finally, I'll give you advice on architectural photography, a field that requires great rigor in terms of composition.

Course content :

Rules of composition (rule of thirds, perspective, scale, shape, etc.)
Lines (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc.)
Contrast (color, position, etc.)
