Creative Architecture Photoshop Workshop
2 days to master advanced photomontage and creative editing techniques
Do you want to create spectacular and creative architectural images, master advanced Photoshop techniques, and take your images to the next level?
This unique two-day in-person workshop will teach you the comprehensive techniques used to create creative, dynamic, and photorealistic architectural images.
From black-and-white architecture to color architecture, including creative and dynamic effects, all techniques will be explained and put into practice in detail.
Over the course of two intensive days, I’ll guide you step by step through the essential and advanced techniques of Photoshop, so you can transform your images and develop your own creative style. We’ll also explore the possibilities offered by other software, particularly the Nik Collection. In addition, I’ll introduce you to the Bloom app from Topaz Labs, which I use very regularly in my work. Finally, I’ll give a brief overview of Boris FX Optics, a software that makes it very easy to create special effects and atmospheric looks.
This workshop is held in small groups (maximum 9 participants) to ensure personalized guidance and to allow us to answer everyone’s questions.
What you'll learn
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
✔ Master complex selections and precise cutouts
✔ Create realistic and cohesive photomontages
✔ Harmonize colors, contrasts, and lighting
✔ Create powerful and dramatic moods
✔ Use creative and dynamic effects
✔ Work efficiently using professional methods and tips
The goal is simple: to equip you with a clear approach and solid techniques for creating creative and impactful architectural images.
An experiential workshop
This workshop is the result of several years of experience teaching Photoshop through my online courses and in-person workshops.
Over the course of the training sessions, I was able to identify:
- the most commonly used techniques
- those that are often underutilized
- and those that remain largely unknown
The goal of this workshop is therefore to teach you the truly effective methods used in a professional creative workflow.
Because a creative image always relies on two essential elements:
imagination… and technique.
Even when the image depicts an unreal scene, the rendering must remain believable and photorealistic.
Techniques covered during the workshop:
Advanced selections and precise cropping
The quality of a photomontage often depends on the precision of the selections.
You will learn how to use various techniques for creating complex selections that blend seamlessly into the image.
Fusion masks
Blending masks are an indispensable tool in Photoshop.
We will explore not only their standard uses, but also advanced techniques that allow for much more precise control over retouching and editing.
Color coordination
A photomontage often combines several different images.
You will learn how to balance:
- colorimetry
- brightness
- the contrasts
in order to achieve a consistent and photorealistic result.
Dynamic effects and directional blur
You'll learn how to use motion blur and other dynamic effects creatively.
In particular, we will see how to apply these effects in specific areas to enhance the movement and visual impact of the image.
Creating atmospheres
Creating a mood is often what transforms a conventional image into a powerful, creative one.
You will learn how to create different atmospheres by working on:
- the light
- the shadows
- the contrasts
- atmospheric effects
For example:
- rays of light
- dramatization of the sky
- fog generation
- Creative black-and-white scenes
Photo montage exercises
Several complete photomontages will be created during the workshop.
These exercises will allow you to put the techniques you've learned into practice right away.
FREE BONUS
To round out your training, you’ll also receive three comprehensive video tutorials on architecture:
- Black & white architecture
- Creative Architecture
- Motion effects
These tutorials include approximately 8.5 hours of video training, with all practice files included.
This will allow you to continue making progress after the workshop.
Full recording of the workshop
The workshop will be fully recorded on video.
After the training, you will receive the full video in MP4 format via WeTransfer, so you can review the techniques at your own pace.

A very nice creative architecture workshop in Lyon ...
David knew how to direct us and get us to be able to reproduce this Photoshop course in a creative way.
The use of tools and software was totally new to me, and I really enjoyed discovering his very creative and artistic approach to post-processing.
David has always been very attentive to my requests, and being able to review the course on video at home will be a big plus!
a big THANK YOU to you David for your ability to teach in a constructive and caring way, always in a good mood, all these new elements for me ... I highly recommend it.
beatrice preve (confirmed customer) -
Thanks for this great workshop David! This trainer is very clear and gives us a lot of information to progress and move forward quickly!
Françoise TESTINI (confirmed customer) -
I took part in the Creative Architecture Workshop in Lyon. The training is very instructive. Throughout the creative process, David demonstrates a clear and precise workflow. We juggle with the different selection tools, layer masks, luminosity masks... We're lost! No problem, David is there to help us. And that's the great strength of this face-to-face training. You can interact with the teacher and the other trainees present.
As far as teaching aids are concerned, at the end of the course David sends us a video recording of the key stages of his face-to-face demonstration, so that we can come back to them in more detail later. Throughout the course, David was always available to share his experience and know-how, without holding back any information. I recommend this course to anyone who has mastered the basics of Ps.
