My most comprehensive architecture studio!
For the very first time, I’m offering a workshop that brings together all my expertise in architectural photography.
This workshop covers the full range of styles and techniques I use, including black-and-white, color, and creative effects. To provide you with the greatest possible value, I’ve also added a second in-person session compared to my usual workshops. This makes it a truly unique event.
I have been creating architectural imagery for over 25 years and have continually experimented and refined my approach. My practice has evolved over time, and new tools and plugins in Adobe Photoshop have allowed me to push the boundaries of my work even further.
This is the perfect opportunity to take part in what I promise will be an exceptional workshop.
CONTENTS
Photo outing:
Sunday, October 18, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
An outdoor outing will be held on Sunday, October 18. It will provide an opportunity to learn architectural photography techniques.
In-studio retouching:
Saturday, October 17, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday, October 18, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Black and white
This course introduces an advanced technique for black-and-white architectural photography, developed and refined over the years to create images with a strong visual impact and distinctive style.
All images were taken in natural light, without long exposures—the visual effects (such as motion blur) were created in post-production.
Beyond simply converting to black and white, you’ll learn to master lighting, contrast, and atmosphere through in-depth work with layers, masks, and selections. The goal is to achieve a balanced, realistic, and visually striking result.
Prerequisites: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (layers, masks, selections, smart objects).
- Introduction to Style and Creative Approach
- Photography Tips and Best Practices
- RAW Processing in Camera Raw
- Photoshop Setup and Optimization
- Essential tools and efficient workflows
- Converting to black and white (2 methods)
- Advanced filtering and image preparation
- Creating lighting effects
- Replacing and creating the sky
- Creating the overall atmosphere (contrast and consistency of lighting)
- Final adjustments and refinements
- Export (high resolution and web formats)
Color
This course teaches you how to create architectural images with bold, well-controlled color schemes.
The focus is on color grading, working on the sky, and the overall atmosphere, using localized adjustments based on precise selections.
- Introduction to Style and Artistic Approach
- Photography techniques and tips
- Composition Rules for Architectural Photography
- Preparation for the tryouts
- Color calibration and tonal adjustments
- Sky Replacement and Creation (Advanced Techniques)
- Setting the mood (lighting, contrast, color balance)
- Final corrections and image refinement
Creative effects
This module explores the creation of motion effects and creative atmospheres in architectural photography.
You will learn various techniques for producing original results, primarily through motion blur and other blur effects, as well as alternative methods and advanced filters.
All effects are created exclusively in Adobe Photoshop, with the optional use of plugins such as Boris FX or Nik Collection.
- Motion blur techniques and creative combinations
- Using additional blur effects
- Alternative methods for enhancing and customizing images
- Introduction to Filters and Plugins
- Case studies using multiple images
- Work files included

Top Level
Teaching is gradual and individualized. The fact that there is a small number of photographers gives David's course a sustained, human dimension. Meeting other photo enthusiasts, and seeing them in real life, away from social networks and videoconferences, is also a highly motivating factor. There's a real sense of solidarity between us: we're joining a great family, David's family.
Do it again and again... It's impossible to get bored of it. Thank you, David!

I loved the Workshop on April 05, 2025 in Paris. David is so generous in transmitting his knowledge that it's exceptional. As someone who loves to learn, it was a real pleasure. What's more, the workshop is recorded and that's a real plus, because you get back all the day's work so you can put it into practice.
If you want to progress in your learning, I highly recommend David's workshops or courses. You'll never be disappointed and you'll get your money's worth. Thank you David.

The quality of David's work needs no introduction, and this workshop was no exception. The level rises progressively throughout the day, but the approaches are accompanied by commentary, making them easy to understand. What's more, the content is rounded off with a host of tips and tricks to make processing easier. But more than just a workshop, it was an excellent day spent among enthusiasts, during which there were many instructive exchanges, all in a studious but relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you David for this wonderful adventure,
Thierry

David approaches his workshops with great simplicity and humility. Always ready to listen and open-minded, he knows perfectly how to adapt to our level and pass on his knowledge.
Beyond that, taking classes with him is like joining a big family, meeting people who are just as motivated and passionate as you are. David has the gift of making you meet quality people.
Thank you and see you soon

It was with a strong desire to improve my skills in Photoshop, a software that I don't master, that I decided to sign up for this "Creative Architecture" workshop.
So I pushed open the door of the room on Saturday morning and found myself with David and my fellow participants.
David, always attentive and thoughtful, offered us a high-quality program on creative architecture.
We were given files to work on, to make learning easier.
As with all his courses, David gives us all the tools we need to work on our photos and magnify our artistic creations.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., time flew by. It was dense but super enjoyable, with a lot of sharing on the part of David and all the participants.
What's more, the next day's photo outing was really very, very nice, with a very interesting itinerary for photographing architecture and applying our lessons from the previous day. Thank you David for showing us some of the spots.
Conclusion: A great workshop, expertly run, a very, very good photo weekend!
Thank you David for proposing such a program!
Thank you to all the participants for sharing your experience and your joie de vivre!

The art of simplifying workflow and bringing it down to the level of the average user. David has this knack for simplifying his courses to make them fluid and easy to follow. This workshop is a must for anyone who really wants to improve their Photoshop techniques. The 2nd day at La Défense is also very interesting as it allows you to see what others can do in terms of composition and compare different points of view.
Thank you David for this excellent workshop and thank you to my fellow photographers for the excellent company.

This course is all about creation! I found it hard to follow at times, but David was there to help me.
David records the course during the day, which will be a great help when I need to revise!
As well as being a good teacher, David is a lovely person, patient, considerate, not in it for the money, a good person and there aren't many like that anymore! I know that after working, some of my landscape photos will be different after this course. The group was really nice too. I can only recommend David's courses, whether face-to-face or online.
See you soon David, we'll certainly be back.
