- Discover the interface (menus, tools and option bar, layers panel, correction tools, etc.).
- Basic settings (preferences and colors)
- RGB and CMYK modes
- Image format and resolution
- Emphasis and sharpness
- Selection tools (presentation and use of some basic tools)
- Adjustment layers (curve, level, etc.) and fill layers (solid color, gradient, etc.)
- Layers, merge masks, dynamic objects
- Camera Raw development module

To put the explanations into practice, a photo will be used during the course. As Photoshop is a very complete software offering infinite possibilities, learning it requires time and practice. This course is designed to be practical rather than theoretical, so that you'll be able to make the basic adjustments that are commonly used by photographers.
Course video: This course is accompanied by a video. It is recorded during the course and covers the key points. Depending on your specific needs, which will be assessed during the course, certain additional points may be added to the video. The video summary will be sent to you in MP4 format, via WeTransfer, after the course.

After searching for months, I stumbled into David on a Facebook Page I follow. Photoshop has been a mystery to me until I took this beginners course. It gave me levels of confidence I had not received from previous attempts at learning the basics. His teachings are always followed up with a recording for quick review and access. Plus integrating Zoom made for this one on one a success.

A one-to-one introductory photoshop course today. A morning rich in discoveries, David pedagogical, patient and clear explanations. Online practice via screen sharing means I can do the work at the same time, and the video means I can see it over and over again, so I don't have to say to myself: gee, I forgot to write that down. I'm less apprehensive about using this software. I highly recommend it. And I can't wait for the next stage.

I hesitated for a long, long time... As a Lightroom user and a bit of a slacker, Photoshop seemed to me... a gas factory. This introductory course is well constructed, guiding you step by step with method and the right advice that will create that magic click that makes you realize that in the end it's not as complicated as you thought, that it's actually quite simply brilliant. All you needed was access to the right keys... and the right trainer: pedagogical, patient, a good listener. David is all these things, but above all he's passionate about his work and an expert who masters his subject to perfection.
Many thanks David for your patience and this revelation :-)

Working on my own, I took advantage of the confinement to say to myself why not try taking a first course just to familiarize myself with the Photoshop tool. The trainer was a good listener and was able to guide me easily from a distance by sharing screens, thanks to technology which makes it really easy to take distance courses. It's now up to me to get to grips with this first course, and the second is to be scheduled very soon during the summer vacations.

I'd been trying to get to grips with this software on my own for some time, with the help of tutorials, but Photoshop continued to be an untamable infernal machine for me.
David's Initiation course enabled me to discover the basics of this software in a very simple and methodical way, and I now understand how to approach image processing, the use of masks and layers and many other functions.
David is an excellent teacher who knows how to make himself accessible to everyone.
Those few hours went by very quickly, and now I just need to put them into practice and take the advanced course.
If you're reading these few lines, I assume you're looking to master Photoshop. Stop looking, you've come to the right place and take this course, you won't regret it.

Professional who listens and is available.
Very interesting and enriching course for beginners who want to progress in photography.
But also for amateur photographers who want to perfect their skills.
Such a pleasant time, I didn't see the time go by.
David is a kind and patient professional.
I personally recommend him.

My husband gave me 1 Photoshop Initiation course with David for Christmas. The course is held via Skype with screen sharing (a first for me), which I think is absolutely brilliant! Everyone in front of their own PC, sitting quietly without having to make room for each other for explanations or practical work.
For me, Photoshop was a huge "3-headed monster" that was impossible to tame. The interface, the millions of useful icons available, the layers, the blending masks and so on. In short... hell... Compared to Lightroom, which has a fairly simple interface that I'm comfortable with, I had a real block with Photoshop. The challenge was therefore great for David.
But David is quiet, very patient, and an excellent teacher like few others. Passionate, he passes on his knowledge with a rare generosity. He takes the time to explain and guide, again and again, as long as necessary, without ever losing patience. He is reassuring.
I was finally able to start using this software, which I'd clearly been avoiding until now.
A truly fascinating course with the master.
David is not only a very talented photographer, but also a truly exceptional teacher!
In conclusion, if for you... Photoshop is a program that, like me before you, seems far too complicated to tackle, take one of his "Initiation Photoshop" courses, or have one offered to you. Really...
